This adventure allows them to get out of their comfort zone and to realise how personal and difficult it is to imitate someone’s else work with a different kind of materials and techniques. But sometimes magic operates and they end up finding new ideas or new ways of working.
For this 4th edition, each jeweller crafted a small, personal module, an object carrying their own language of form, texture, and intention. These initial fragments were then exchanged among them, setting the project into motion.
Receiving a module from another, each jeweller was invited to respond: to transform the fragment into a complete piece while remaining in dialogue with the original maker’s gesture. The module became both constraint and catalyst, guiding the evolution of a new object shaped by two sensibilities rather than one.
In a final turn, the process came full circle. Each jeweller was asked to imitate the finished piece created by the first participant who had worked with their module. Through this act of interpretation, the work unfolded into a layered conversation, between authorship and imitation, origin and transformation, revealing how a single form can travel, shift, and multiply through different hands.
